DMEX Collaboration Projects

Running alongside the DMEX placements & our training programme, we've also been developing collaborative projects (DMEX Labs) - designed to get TV professionals working together voluntarily on innovative digital projects.

The first DMEX Lab project saw a group working together to create an animated short based on Carol-Ann Duffy's poem, Education For Leisure. The team created the film using Moviestorm - a new piece of software that lets you create…

Hi all,

Hope all is well, and that you had great (if slightly wet!) summers.

My DMEX placement

How do you start a blog? With a question maybe? Seems to be more creative than a simple "Hello!" Having never started a blog before I wonder if there is a standard etiquette to blogging. If there is, I don't know about it, so I'll carry on in blissful ignorance. Maybe I'll look into it for my next blog.

SO, I'm pleased to say that I've just completed my 7th day with SKV in Manchester, and overall things have been going well. A friendly bunch of people,… Continue

Ephemeral Media conference, 23-24 June, Nottingham

I was really lucky as one of the only non-academics to get an invite to a conference called Ephemeral Media last week at University of Nottingham. It featured a lot of discussion on user generated content, online films and interactive drama, including a keynote from our own Hugh Hancock, exec producer of the DMEX Education for Leisure film, and Rik Lander, the producer of several seminal online dramas… Continue
